Honoring the past, inspiring growth, and empowering the future.

Our Buildings

  • The Maypole Lawn at the Assembly Building offers a welcoming space for gatherings and events, including Maypole celebrations. To enhance its functionality and aesthetic appeal, an ornamental fence will be installed along the retaining wall, matching the design of the Assembly Building stairs for a cohesive look and added safety near the front slope. A historic plaque will be prominently displayed on the building’s façade, celebrating its significance. Additionally, mounting points between the front doors will provide opportunities to hang event banners, further supporting community engagement and festivities.

  • The Large Classroom Building concepts share a thoughtful design approach, both featuring a daycare and coworking space to address community needs. The layouts utilize the existing wide corridor to separate the daycare from business activities, ensuring each operates independently with dedicated entrances and exits. Material selections are thoughtfully chosen to honor and reflect the architectural heritage of the original Rosenwald School.

  • The Vocational School Building, situated in the southeast corner of the main campus, spans approximately 94 feet by 40 feet. The structure features a primary entrance leading to a front office space. Beyond the office, the facility will house a brick masonry classroom and a cafeteria area, which will also be available for community rental, supporting education and local engagement.

  • The two Classroom Buildings will feature a replica classroom and a 21st-century learning space. The replica classroom, housed in the larger room, will showcase original finishes and furnishings to reflect its historical use, along with designated areas for displaying photos and artifacts from students and teachers. The 21st-century classroom will offer a flexible lecture-style setup with mobile furniture for adaptable configurations. Additionally, one classroom will be transformed into a museum, preserving and celebrating the site's educational heritage.
